One of the preferred skateparks of the locals is located in Greenport on the North Fork of Long Island, called Greenport Skatepark. It is a 20,000-square-foot concrete and wooden outdoor facility built in 1998. The park serves as a central recreational outlet for the local community.
It's a flat concrete park with metal rails for beginners to practice grinds and slides. It also has other interesting obstacles like wooden half pipes, quarter pipes, a street course, and mini-ramps. So it's best for all levels of skateboarders.
This is a "skate at your own risk park" because it's open anytime and no safety gear is required, but helmets, pads, and other safety gear are strongly recommended for your safety. Additionally, there are limited evening hours based on lighting, so be sure to skate safely while there’s sunlight. There's no entrance fee,
and it's open to all skaters.
